Level Shifter

Converts the computer's RS232 to RS422 interface. A 9-pin (computer) to 25-pin (M404) interface cable and network termination connector are provided.

The bench top unit connects directly to the computer's RS232 port and provides a photo isolated RS422 output for interfacing to a network of JC Systems Instruments. The RS422 network can be run a total distance of up to 4000 feet from the Model 404 to the last JC Instrument on the network.

The Model 404 is not an integrated part of the computer, therefore the interface can simply be plugged or unplugged when replacing computers.
